Terms of Service

sites.me is a platform and listing service that lets sellers publish a public storefront and link-in-bio at sites.me/yourhandle and list digital assets -- such as domain names, vibe-coded apps, SaaS tools, newsletters, templates, and other digital products -- for sale, and lets buyers discover those assets and contact sellers directly.

sites.me is not a party to, and is not involved in, any transaction between a buyer and a seller. We do not buy, sell, own, appraise, escrow, guarantee, or transfer any listed asset. We do not act as a broker, agent, auctioneer, escrow agent, or payment processor for asset sales. Any sale, payment, transfer, or agreement is solely between the buyer and the seller. We are not responsible for the existence, quality, legality, safety, ownership, or value of any listing, or for any party's conduct.

We charge sellers a flat membership fee and take zero commission on sales. We do not handle the funds from asset sales.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to bind that company, and “you” includes that company.

Registration. You must provide accurate, complete information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us promptly at info@sites.me of any unauthorized use.

Handles. Handles are at least 3 characters and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. A handle is licensed to you for use while your membership is active; you do not own it. We may reclaim, modify, or reassign handles that are inactive, infringe a third party's rights, impersonate others, are abusive or misleading, or violate these Terms.

One person, one account unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Plans and fees. Selling on sites.me requires a paid membership. Current plans and prices are shown on our Pricing page. Browsing and buying are free.

Billing. Memberships are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize us and our processor to charge your payment method for the applicable fees and taxes.

Auto-renewal. Your membership automatically renews at the end of each term at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by contacting info@sites.me.

Cancellation and refunds. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; your membership remains active until the end of the current paid term, and fees already paid are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law.

Price changes. We may change plan features and prices. We will give reasonable advance notice of price increases, which take effect on your next renewal.

Taxes. Fees are exclusive of taxes; you are responsible for any applicable taxes other than our income taxes.

Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may suspend or downgrade your membership and the visibility of your listings.

If you list an asset, you represent and agree that:

• You own or have all rights necessary to sell and transfer the asset, and your listing does not infringe any third party's intellectual-property, contractual, or other rights.
• Your listings and descriptions are accurate and not misleading, including any claims about revenue, traffic, ownership, or status. Any “verified” indicators reflect limited checks and are not a guarantee.
• You will complete sales and asset transfers directly with the buyer, honor your representations, and comply with all applicable laws (including registrar, platform, tax, consumer-protection, and export rules).
• You will not list assets you may not lawfully sell, including stolen property, items that infringe third-party rights, or assets whose transfer is restricted.
• You are solely responsible for your dealings with buyers, including negotiation, payment collection, transfer, taxes, disputes, and any escrow. We recommend using a reputable third-party escrow service for higher-value transfers.

Listings, prices, offers, and seller statements come from sellers, not from sites.me. Do your own due diligence before transacting.

An “offer” submitted through the Service is a communication to the seller; any resulting agreement is solely between you and the seller.

We do not verify sellers' identity, ownership, or claims beyond limited automated checks, and we are not responsible if a seller fails to deliver, transfer, or perform.

You agree not to: violate any law or third party's rights; post false, fraudulent, infringing, or misleading content; list prohibited or restricted items; circumvent fees or impersonate others; transmit malware; scrape, crawl, or harvest data except as permitted; interfere with or overload the Service; or use the Service to send spam or unlawful communications. We may investigate and take action, including removing content and suspending accounts.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (listings, text, images, profile, storefront). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, promote, and improve the Service (for example, showing your public storefront and listings, and including them in search and previews). You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to grant this license. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

The Service, including the sites.me name, logo, software, and design, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service per these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as allowed by law.

The Service relies on third parties (for example, Stripe for payments, Supabase for authentication and database, and email providers). Your use of those features may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

The Service is offered on an “early access” basis. Features may change, and the Service may be unavailable from time to time. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings will result in sales, buyers, or any particular outcome.

THE SERVICE AND ALL LISTINGS AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING ANY ASSET, SELLER, BUYER, OR TRANSACTION. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SITES.ME AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR ANY TRANSACTION BETWEEN USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE MEMBERSHIP FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You will indemnify and hold harmless sites.me and its personnel from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your listings or transactions, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, or reclaim a handle if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or for any reason with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (including fees owed, content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) survive termination. No refunds are owed on termination except as required by law.

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and sites.me agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting info@sites.me. If unresolved, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

These Terms, plus the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
